I really don’t know why father’s day is always such a conundrum – it sneaks up on us every year and we’re left scrambling trying to figure out WTF to buy the guys in our lives.
but really, I think men are just as fun to shop for as women and love getting gifts just as much, too (I can only speak for my ido, but still!)
check out my picks for father’s day gifts (and recipes!) below.

p.s. TAHINI BABY is the perfect companion for father’s day feasting – just saying ;)
for the dads who cook, these knives are a must-have. these knives are artfully crafted in Japan, and you can totally see why. they’re gorgeous, but more importantly – they really work. good knives are essential in any kitchen, and these check alllllll the boxes.
whether you’ve got a sneaker lover in your family or not, these everlane sneakers are a perfect complement to any outfit. they’re lightweight and stylish without being too trendy, plus they’re made with renewed materials and have a very small carbon footprint.
how cool is this? now, no matter where we’re going or where we’ll be sleeping, we’re guaranteed to get that sweet, sweet buzz of caffeine no matter what.
a frame that actually keeps up with your millions of photos
if you’re like us and have an unending supply of photos on your phone, this frame is for you. everyone in the family can send photos to it either through an app or email, and it holds up to 8,000 photos which isn’t a million but definitely the right amount. Ido has one on the desk in his office and we love it :)
his new summer staple: a pizza oven
is it weird to call a pizza oven chic? I don’t care. this ooni one is. plus, there is nothing more fun (or delish) than a DIY pizza night with the fam, right?
a sleek way to keep things safe
ok I don’t want to generalize but some people (ahem, men) seem to misplace their things more than others. this tile tracker falls in the “things he needs but probably wouldn’t buy for himself” category, and will give you peace of mind next time you travel together.
ok so technically it’s a smart meat thermometer that works with bluetooth but a) that’s pretty genius and b) this one in particular is great. It can handle heat up to 1000 degrees fahrenheit (!) it takes the guesswork out of perfectly cooking any meat and it’s just cool. guys love their gadgets.
a way to keep his beer – or literally any beverage – ice cold, anywhere
this yeti cooler backpack is massive – it holds up to 18 cans and 26 lbs of ice! – plus it’s easy to carry, and keeps everything suuuuuper cold. It’s perfect for a beach day, camping, going for a walk, or just having a cold drink at your disposal at any moment.
there is nothing more iconic than katz’s deli, and nothing more exciting than the prospect of having the katz’s experience delivered to your door. this all-star showing of the deli’s heaviest hitters includes ebverythign you need to make pastrami on rye and corned beef reuben sandwiches, along with pickles and alllll the fixings. It’s perfect for a dad who lives far from nyc – but even if you do live in new york, this kind of beats waiting on the long line ;)
a sturdy, stunning cutting board
once he’s got the knife, he needs a worthy cutting board. this maple john boos reversible chopping block is fashion + function, a must-have piece for the kitchen that also looks gorgeous on the counter. it’s basically a gift for both of you.
hey how did this get in here? ;) just kidding - tahini baby makes an excellent gift for both meat eaters and vegetarians, and the kosterina olive oil is life-changing. I could drink it. I won’t, but i could.
men’s jewelry has come a long way, and this mejuri bracelet with a subtle gold or silver bar is all the proof you need. It’s understated but stylish, and it can be engraved with up to three characters, like his initials…or yours.
I’m not saying aprons are a sexy piece of clothing, but i’m not not saying it. this one from hedley + bennett is made so well and is so well-fitted. being kitchen safe and looking good when you’re doing it is, well, hotttttt.
a simple way to get him some peace and quiet
if you don’t live in a loud house, first of all – tell me your secrets, and also this one might not be for you. but for everyone else… these are a must-have. they’re discreet, diffuse loud noises without blocking out everything and they actually somehow look cool, too. they’re also perfect for travel, concerts, theme parks…really anywhere you want some more control over the volume without blocking everything out.
and you didn’t think I’d leave you without a couple of sure-fire recipes to impress dad, did you?!
aleppo feta elote
soooo fun for a summer bbq, or literally anytime. such a great combo of flavors and obviously feta makes everything better.
bright spring green pasta
looks so impressive, is so easy and packed with flavor. he’ll love it.
potato & green bean salad with capers, olives, and dill
the only thing better than potato salad or green bean salad is combining both and adding briney olives and capers and fresh dill. YUM.
sesame crumb challah french toast bake with roasted rhubarb & cream
this one takes a little more effort than the rest, but it’s well worth it. the in-season rhubarb combined with sesame and classic french toast is so delish.
happy father’s day, everyone!
